A rival of the cream of Sheba

Havin' a larf?
It's a tureen of Sheba.
I shall haz barf
With me belly full of old fur ballz.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha
Bring me a dish of the cheeze-covered burgerz;
No cutz, slicez, prime-flaked micez,
Chunks in wavy streamz of gravy
Plucked from the counterz at Waitroze
When the new Range Rover's brimming over
Full of tasty goodiez for the two-legged fuddy-duddiez
With their bottlez of vin doodah and their posh organic quinoa
They can shove their packs of Sheba up the land of Entamoeba
Give me rendered cattle, cheeze in a bun
Or watch the fun.

Can't get the staff—
It's a bowl full of Whiskaz!
I shall haz laff
With their curtainz and me own sharp clawz.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha
Where is me fix of the cheeze-burger lolness?
No wet pouches from cheap slouches
Crunchy dry stuff reeks like stale guff
Grabbed off the pallets at Wilko
When the rusty hatchback's full of six packs:
Fizzy own-brand lager for their shotz of Meister Jager
With their content-boasting tablez on their reminiscent labelz
And their two-for-one on offerz for those dozy cheap-fag cougherz
Give me phat cheeze burgerz, nine out of ten,
Or face the Hun.

Richard's aunty Vee, intoned sagaciously,
"The older that you get, the more like yourself
You become". The seeds of ageing graciously
Are scattered on the rocks of hapless youth.
If only I had nurtured, there, the germ
Of devoir faire invested in that truth,
Perhaps I would have made some wiser choices:
A more discerning pardine pelt; a sober
Take on existential siren voices
That versed the whelpling pup in venial tricks.
Now dotage has arrived as Vee averred,
With ground-in spots and bent for chasing sticks.
N'importe quoi. Though Que sera s'est arrivé,
The old dog knows the leopard had its day.

Along the hills and valleys of the shire,
Through copse and field and unsuspecting farm,
Uncowed by Grim, or haughty country squire,
The master of the cunning plan is stalking.
With floating tail receding in his wake,
A totem of his præternatural charm,
He hoists his colours on life's fickle stake,
Defiant in the paths that he is walking.
With flourish to the right and circle to the left,
He moves around his world like warp about the weft,
In graceful stride, with movement, bold and deft,
Immersed in artful strategy and wisdom.
With vixen for a bride and pups to feed in den,
He ventures through a land usurped by selfish men;
With steadfast heart, he roams on fell and glen,
The undefeated monarch of his kingdom.

The snow is warm,
My precious child;
The winter storm
Is always mild;
While you are sleeping by my side,
The world keeps promises,
The world is mine.

You close your eyes,
You've drunk your fill;
With quivering sighs,
Your lids fall still;
Your world is waiting by your side
To keep its promises;
Your world fills mine.

So, softly sleep
Till dreams awake,
And hearts shall keep
The vows we take;
The world will send another day
To keep its promises
(To keep our promises)
To keep our faith.

And when you grow up, we can go and kill some baby seals. Nom nom nom.

——————————

Softness holds me;
Peace enfolds me;
Tender eyes now
Fill this strange new world.

Soft breath thrills me;
Warm milk fills me;
Silent thoughts now
Lulling me to sleep.

Dreams are calling; eyes now closing;
Sleep is falling; warmth enclosing.
I know true love
Is waiting by my side
And love shall bide.

And when I'm a bit older we should go and check out those cuddly things with short legs flopping about over there.

Draw the golden curtain;
Life becomes uncertain—
Take the plunge and
Fall into the humbling,
Red-black-tumbling,
Hypnotizing world of
Awe-filled splendour.

Leave your fears behind you;
Let raw nature find you—
Take a chance and
Sink into the daunting,
Nightmare-haunting,
Mesmerizing fields of gold.

Search for the garden of wonder,
Deep in the forest of growling thunder—
Listen in the whispering breeze,
In readiness to freeze
At half-imagined foot fall.

Join in the shimmering glory,
Rapt in the passion of Earth's rich story—
Paradise is waiting to be found
In dreams beyond the
Wild imaginations of man.

Glide forth, my beauties, revel in the slime
And scale the heights of love's exquisite pain
In sadomasochistic paradigm;
Hermaphrodite's paramoric sweethearts.
The slow convergence serves to titillate—
The world can pause, its burdens will remain;
Augment the pleasure with the teasing wait
And relish every morsel of these love-arts.
Spread wide your moistened lips in sensual fire
And meld the turgid flesh where foot-folds strain,
The arching sole, tumescent with desire,
Impaled on lust and barb-fringed carnal love-darts.
The climax weaves its magic clonic spell
As spirals ripple deep within your shell.
The climax …
As spirals ripple deep within yoi… shell.
